Pastor Luigi and Karen Estridge have teamed for a new Bible study – exercise program based on Sansone’s Walking the Walk: Getting Fit with Faith book and DVD. Our new “Devotions in Motion” (DiM) program is based on fueling our spirits, our minds, and our bodies.
We will be meeting in the Grace UMC Wesley Hall on Mondays at 4:30pm and Thursday evenings at 5:15pm, with the exception of the third Thursday of every month where DiM will meet at 4:15pm. “Devotions in Motion” consists of 20 minutes of Biblically based devotions, 5 minutes of health information from a nurse, then 35 minutes of walking and stepping patterns to Christian music via DVD projection on the wall. Each participant can walk at his/her own pace. Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended. Bring a friend for fitness, fun, and fellowship!
New devotions and health information will be shared each time we meet. Attendance at both sessions per week is encouraged, but work schedules may determine that any attendance is a start! Also, Zumba exercises are offered on Saturdays at 9:30am, but it’s best to text or call Karen prior to the date to secure that the group is indeed meeting.
